After School Care Educator Position, Cranbrook

Become an essential part of Summit Community Services Society as an After School Care Educator in Cranbrook. This role involves engaging children in reading, physical activities, and creative arts.

SCSS is searching for an enthusiastic educator to enhance the Kids Club Afterschool program. The successful candidate will assist in planning developmentally appropriate activities and ensure compliance with IHA’s regulations and the BC Early Learning Framework. You'll work in a supportive team environment and enjoy full-time hours during the summer and school closures.

Key Responsibilities:• Assist in planning engaging activities for children • Communicate positively with parents and guardians • Guide children with safe hygiene practices • Monitor children's safety throughout the day • Support and guide fellow staff members

Requirements:• Responsible Adult Certification or equivalent • First Aid and Food Safe Certifications • Successful Criminal Record Check • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
