Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and motivated Thrift Store Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining an organized and welcoming store environment. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and possesses strong communication skills, with experience in retail sales and cashiering. Familiarity with merchandising or technology sales are a plus. This position offers an opportunity to engage with diverse customers and contribute to a positive shopping experience. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and processing payments Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and store revenue Maintain accurate inventory records and organize merchandise on the sales floor Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the store remains clean and inviting Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about store hours, promotions, or product availability Assist with merchandising efforts to promote featured items or sales events Manage time effectively to ensure all duties are completed efficiently during shifts Requirements Robust communication skills in English Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced workplace Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods Qualified phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or in person Ability to work well within a team and independently as needed Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product presentation is advantageous Pay: From $18.00 per hour Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2nl6e3
