Heavy Equipment Operator (Utterson)

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery and possess a strong mechanical knowledge. This role is essential for ensuring the protected and efficient operation of equipment on-site, contributing to the successful completion of projects. Duties - Operate heavy machinery including, but not limited to, excavators and skid steers to perform various tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving materials. - Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. - Collaborate with team members to execute project plans effectively while adhering to safety regulations and protocols. - Assist in the transportation of equipment and materials as needed - Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance performed, and any issues encountered during operations. - Provide support in training new operators on safe machinery operation practices. Qualifications - Proven experience in operating heavy machinery such as backhoes, loaders, bulldozers, cranes, and other farm machinery. - Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment. - Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices in all operations. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of operating heavy machinery for extended periods.
