Driver/Installer (Gravenhurst)

Position Summary Short version: You will drive : 2500 Duramax Pickup truck with tri axel flat deck trailer ( 24ft) occasionally you will drive the 20ft Isuzu box truck for deliveries. You will haul: Concrete blocks ( 500lb per), 4x8 plywood, 2x6x16 wooden beams, small equipment, tent parts Your duties: Load, unload, secure loads. follow ELOG, and pre-trip, assist installing Flooring and tent jobs. All other duties as required required license: MIN A Restricted. AZ preferred There is physical work required not just highway hauling You will be home every night, Room for winter work as well doing snow removal if you are the right person for that role as well LONG VERSION Muskoka Event Services is looking for an experienced and dependable licensed driver to join our event installation team. This position combines professional driving with hands-on event setup work, including transporting and installing flooring, tent ballast blocks, staging, and event infrastructure. The ideal candidate has experience hauling trailers, operating light-duty heavy equipment, and working in physically demanding environments. This role requires someone who is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working as part of a fast-paced crew. Key ResponsibilitiesDriving & Transportation - Safely operate pickup trucks and flat deck trailers - Transport tent ballast blocks, flooring, staging, and event equipment to job sites - Load, secure, and unload equipment safely and efficiently - Complete daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks - Follow all road safety regulations and company procedures Event Installation & Labour - Install and remove event flooring, carpet, staging, and related equipment - Assist with tent setup and teardown when required - Operate light-duty heavy equipment including forklifts, skid steers, telehandlers, and similar machinery - Assist crews with loading, site prep, and event logistics - Work efficiently as part of a team on event installations and removals Equipment & Site Responsibilities - Maintain clean and organized vehicles, trailers, and work areas - Ensure equipment is properly stored and secured after events - Report equipment damage, maintenance concerns, or safety issues Qualifications - Valid AZ or AR driver’s license with clean driving abstract - Experience towing flat deck trailers and hauling equipment - Experience with event flooring, carpentry, construction, or related installation work - Comfortable operating light-duty heavy equipment - Solid problem-solving and teamwork skills - Ability to work long hours during peak event season - Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused Physical & Working Conditions This position involves: - Heavy lifting and carrying of event equipment and ballast blocks - Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions - Repetitive physical labour throughout shifts - Working at heights when required - Frequent bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, and pulling - Fast-paced team-based work environment Assets Considered an Advantage - Forklift certification - Experience operating telehandlers or skid steers - Carpentry or construction background - Experience in tenting, staging, or event production industries Pay: From $25.00 per hour Application question(s): - Comfortable working along side the crew during install as well as driving.
