REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS - Education in hospitality studies an asset but not required - Food Handler's certificate an asset but not required - Ability to work collaboratively as a team with the chef and other kitchen staff - Delegate/Complete tasks effectively - Outstanding organizational skills - A positive can-do attitude - Previous camp experience an asset but not required JOB DESCRIPTION The Kitchen/Dishroom Staff work alongside our Head Chef to manage the camp kitchen and dishroom. Food prep, doing dishwashing, dining hall preparation etc... The applicant will live on site at Camp Wahanowin for the duration of their contract. Room and board, as well as all meals, are provided. We are primarily looking for students looking for a spring/summer/fall role. Summer camps in Ontario are exempt from paying minimum wage and room and board is included. The salary for the duration of the contract (April 26th to Aug 30) is $5320 (total salary at completion of contract), including room and board. If you want to stay until October 7th, the salary is $6860 (total salary at completion of contract), including room and board. You would live on site at Camp Wahanowin in Orillia, Ontario.
