Summary The Lift Truck Driver is responsible for using industrial lift trucks or tractors to move material around the factory to meet production requirements. Other responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, minor maintenance work, supporting inventory documentation, and full adherence to safety rules and regulations throughout the plant.
Job Duties
Transport pallets, skids, and bins throughout the facility to meet production requirements
Perform pre-use inspections and daily maintenance checks for lift trucks
Manually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, and lifting devices
Ensure work centers are stocked
Empty scrap containers as required
Keep W.I.P. stock areas in order, including restocking shelves
Operate weigh scales
Tumble parts as needed
Support inventory control with accurate documentation
Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment
Put away received material
Accurately weigh and document materials
Provide production data on tags or labels
Participate in Flex‑N‑Gate’s 5S program and ensure cleanliness throughout the plant
Adhere to all safety requirements within the plant including wearing appropriate PPE at all times
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of relevant forklift experience
Minimum 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience
Able to work independently under minimum supervision
Able to work well as a team
Able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
Excellent time management skills
