Description
Wauwatosa Marina is looking for an experienced, safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our yard team for the upcoming season. This is a key hands‑on role supporting launches, haul‑outs, yard organization, and the daily rhythm of a busy waterfront property.
We’re looking for someone who is calm under pressure, takes pride in doing things right, and enjoys working outdoors as part of a close‑knit team where good judgement and situational awareness matter.
Job Type:
Seasonal (April–December)
Schedule:
Full-time, including some weekends during peak season
Pay:
$25 to $28 Based on experience
Responsibilities
Operate marina forklifts safely to launch and haul boats
Position and block boats in the yard
Maintain organized and safe yard conditions
Assist dock and service teams as required
Assist with boat movements and deliveries by road and water as required
Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines
Requirements
Valid driver’s license required
Previous forklift or heavy equipment experience required
Marine or boat handling experience considered an asset
Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) considered an asset
Strong attention to safety and situational awareness
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to operate thoughtfully in a busy, ever‑changing yard environment
Reliable, team‑oriented, and positive attitude
