Description
Position Summary The Automotive Service Advisor is the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience, accurately identifying vehicle concerns, recommending necessary maintenance and repairs, and ensuring timely follow-up throughout the service process. The Service Advisor plays a critical role in customer retention, CSI performance, and overall dealership profitability. Key Responsibilities - Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival - Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues - Open and manage repair orders in accordance with dealership procedures - Provide clear explanations of recommended maintenance and repairs - Prepare estimates and obtain proper customer authorization - Communicate effectively with technicians regarding diagnostics and repair timelines - Keep customers informed of repair status, additional findings, and completion times - Ensure all work is completed as promised and vehicle delivery exceeds expectations - Review completed repairs with customers at vehicle pick-up - Handle customer concerns or complaints with professionalism and urgency - Maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores - Follow up with customers after service visits to ensure satisfaction - Promote maintenance packages and recommended services ethically and confidently - Maintain organized, accurate documentation and service records Qualifications - Previous automotive service advising experience preferred - Strong knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance schedules - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment - Strong sales and closing skills - Proficient in dealership management systems (DMS) - Valid driver’s license with clean driving record Skills & Competencies - Customer-focused mindset - Strong attention to detail - Conflict resolution abilities - Time management and organizational skills - Team-oriented attitude - Professional appearance and demeanor Performance Expectations - Achieve or exceed individual sales and gross profit targets - Maintain high CSI scores (5 = Pass, 4 = Fail standard in most OEM surveys) - Ensure repair orders are accurate and properly documented - Maintain strong follow-through on commitments Work Workplace - Rapid-paced dealership service department - Standing and walking for extended periods - Occasional vehicle operation What We Offer - Uncapped earning potential you control your income - Ongoing training, coaching, and development - Supportive leadership in a family owned & operated environment - A fast-paced, fun, and winning culture - Health Benefits after 6 months - RRSP Matching after 1 year If you’re ready to work hard, have fun, and be part of a dealership that truly cares about its people this is your shot.
