Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. This role is vital to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment. The Maintenance Person will perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks to support the smooth daily operations of our organization. Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs. Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and other mechanical equipment. Maintain and repair machinery to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met. Assist with installation of new equipment or infrastructure upgrades. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management. Ensure all work areas are clean, secure, and compliant with safety regulations. Coordinate with external contractors or vendors for specialized repairs or services when necessary. Requirements Proven experience in general maintenance or a related field. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and basic carpentry skills preferred. Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and perform necessary repairs independently. Solid attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various physical conditions. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks. Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., HVAC certification, electrician license) are a plus but not mandatory. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols.
