Recreation Associate (Huntsville)

Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and energetic Recreation Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with resort guests, organizing recreational activities, and providing excellent guest services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the public, and possess strong communication skills to create a welcoming environment for all participants. Responsibilities - Plan, organize, and facilitate recreational activities and programs for diverse age groups, including children and adults - Assist guests with inquiries, registration, and activity participation to ensure a positive experience - Lead group activities, sports, or games while maintaining safety and engagement - Handle cash transactions accurately during program registration or event sales - Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally - Maintain cleanliness and organization of activity areas and equipment - Promote upcoming events and programs through effective communication and public speaking when necessary - Collaborate with team members to develop new recreational ideas that enhance community involvement Qualifications - Experience working with children in recreational, educational, or childcare settings is preferred - Strong public speaking skills to effectively communicate program details and promote activities - Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor - Previous guest services or hospitality experience is a plus - Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly - Basic food service knowledge is advantageous but not required - Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for community engagement and recreation - Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour Benefits - Discounted or free food - Adaptable schedule - On-site parking - Paid time off - Store discount Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2oqvwu
