Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich & Customer Service Team Member to join our dynamic food service team. This role involves preparing delicious sandwiches, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food preparation, cashiering, and customer engagement. Successful candidates must be available to work Saturdays. There is also the opportunity for additional hours and increased responsibilities for team members who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and a positive attitude. This role includes working closely one-on-one with the business owner, providing excellent hands-on training and valuable experience in both kitchen operations and customer service within a growing local business. Duties - Prepare a variety of sandwiches and food items according to company standards and recipes - Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling - Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide excellent customer service - Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in compliance with food safety standards - Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems - Ensure food safety protocols are followed during food handling and preparation - Assist with maintaining inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed - Uphold sanitation standards by cleaning work areas, utensils, and equipment regularly - Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations Experience - Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required - Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus - Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours - Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy - Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures - Food Handler Certification or willingness to obtain one - Experience serving customers in a rapid-paced setting is advantageous - Ability to work well as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude - Must be available to work Saturdays This role is perfect for individuals passionate about the food industry who enjoy working with people and delivering quality service.
