With a focus on quality craftsmanship and innovative design, we serve both contractors and the public with custom wood products, including doors, stairs, and rails. Summary Cutting Bros. Inc. is looking for an experienced wood finisher. This role would focus on preparing and finishing high-end wood products, including timber frame packages, custom doors, stair components and related millwork. The ideal candidate has strong experience with wood finishing, understands the importance of proper preparation and is comfortable working with both airless and conventional spray equipment. Experience with Sansin SDF, SDF Topcoat, ENS, or similar exterior wood finishing systems would be essential. Responsibilities include: preparing wood surfaces for finish, including sanding, cleaning, masking, dust control and inspection applying Sansin and other wood finishes by brush, roller, airless spray and conventional spray producing consistent finish quality on timbers, doors, stairs and custom wood components maintaining spray equipment, pumps, guns, tips, hoses, filters and finishing area performing touch-ups, samples, colour checks and quality control helping keep the finishing area clean, organized and secure Requirements: 5+ years of painting, spraying or wood-finishing experience perferred solid knowledge of wood preparation and finishing experience using airless and/or conventional spray equipment familiarity with Sansin SDF or similar wood finishes is essential willingness to do prep work reliable transportation to and from work strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship ability to work independently and as part of a small shop team Additional Requirements: valid driver's license (preferred) own transportation (preferred) Schedule: Monday to Friday What we offer: competitive wages health benefits after 6 months of employment full time, year-round employment RRSP match on-site parking Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour Benefits: Dental care Extended health care In office parking RRSP match Ability to commute/relocate: Port Carling, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: Construction painting: 5 years (preferred) Language: English (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ox0lp
