Roof Topper / Warehouse Associate (Orillia)

We are seeking highly motivated and customer focused individuals for the position of Roof Topper/Warehouse Associate. The successful applicant(s) will demonstrate excellent customer service skills, personal safety responsibility, equipment care and reliability. The Role Our Roof Toppers effectively and safely load and unload products in one of our 7 Warehouses in an efficient and timely manner and provide assistance to the overall day-to-day operations of the facility as a key member of the Gibson family. The successful candidate will be working with roofing materials and related construction products. We use a combination of forklifts and manual labour to manoeuvre, load and unload the materials from flat decks, crane trucks, pick ups, racking and warehouse floors. Our Roof Toppers are part of the delivery team. They accompany our drivers to sites where they access the roof and provide our top-level customer service by receiving materials at the rooftop. *Working at heights required* The Duties/Responsibilities · Uphold Gibson’s Health & Safety policies and programs including secure operation of all equipment · Build and nurture customer relationships · Complete scheduled loading and unloading of deliveries in a safe and efficient manner · Complete daily inspections of equipment and vehicles and accurately maintain required documentation. · Communicate effectively with other team members to complete daily and weekly goals · Completing pick ticket orders · Pulling and staging orders for each company delivery truck · Performing rotating loading or unloading duties as assigned · Checking all loads for accuracy and ensuring they are thoroughly secured for delivery · Safely working on rooftops to assist with unloading products · Unloading/receiving all deliveries · Operating forklifts safely and responsibly · Providing excellent customer service · Treating all customers and coworkers in a helpful and professional manner · Other tasks as required Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience: · Valid Working at Heights · Valid G class driver’s license · Construction site experience · Safety Focused · Superior attention to detail · Excellent Oral and written communication skills · Good organizational skills · Ability to multi-task · Basic Math skills · Positive attitude · Team Player · Good Time management skills · Enjoys working in a physically demanding and fast pace environment · At least 2 years of relevant experience is required · Boom/Crane Truck experience is an asset · Building supply experience is an asset · Forklift experience is an asset Physical Conditions · Combination of machine operation and physical labour · Ability to climb, bend, twist, reach and stand throughout complete shifts · Safely lift 75-100 pounds consistently · Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending required Schedule · Monday to Friday · 10 hours shifts · 6am – 3pm typically · Year round work · Occasional Weekend work Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour Benefits: - Casual dress - Company events - Dental care - Extended health care - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match - Vision care Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ozq8g
