Our client is the premier builder of luxury homes, cottages and boathouses in Muskoka and Cottage Country. We are seeking a Project Manager with a strong work ethic, strong teamwork skills, and leadership experience to build the finest custom-built projects. The Project Manager will ensure the project is completed to the client's specifications and will oversee its overall direction, administration, and coordination. Roles and responsibilities
- Develops, in collaboration with the Preconstruction department, the project budget and work breakdown structure, enabling the identification of responsibilities and costs through a cost code system.
- Establishes, with the involvement of the preconstruction department, the terms and scope of work for subcontract and supplier packages.
- Identifying and pursuing ways to improve our systems, processes and methodologies.
- Working closely with our clients to ensure we're meeting their expectations.
- Manage and establish project communications strategies to keep all related stakeholders informed.
- Attend site meetings with the Owner and Consultants and ensure all correspondence from the Owner and Consultants receives prompt attention.
- Create documentation for project plans, project status reports, timelines, project issues, and risks as needed for assigned projects.
- Manage project budget, including cash flows, costs, and approvals for vendor transactions.
- Identify and resolve conflicts within project teams and associate work; create contingency plans to mitigate risk.
Qualifications
- You must have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of construction experience
- Experience as a Project Manager with a Developer, or General Contracting, managing all aspects of the project
- Demonstrated proficiency in Estimating, Scheduling, Budgeting/Cost-Control, Financial
- Reporting and Client Relationship Management.
- Highly developed leadership, communication and computer skills would be an asset.
- Strong leadership and teambuilding abilities.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CoConstruct is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication
- University degree or equivalent
- Valid Ontario driver's license, as well as transportation to work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
