Marine Steam Engineer - RMS Segwun (Gravenhurst)

What you’ll do - Operate and maintain the steam plant in a marine environment with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and professionalism. - Monitor and maintain key ship systems (including mechanical, electrical, fire, and plumbing). - Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance, keeping heritage equipment running smoothly and safely. - Support general maintenance tasks as needed and work closely with the onboard team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. - Contribute to a culture of safe operations, tidy machinery spaces, and “do it right” workmanship. What we’re looking for - Marine Steam Engineer certification (3rd or 4th class preferred). - We will also consider candidates with extensive steam knowledge, strong mechanical ability, or relevant marine/industrial experience. - Calm, practical troubleshooting skills and confidence working with complex systems. - Team-first attitude, robust communication, and pride in maintaining high standards.
