DZ Driver (Bracebridge)

Simcoe Building Centre in Barrie is looking to fill the position of an DZ Delivery Driver. We specialize in the selling of building materials as well as exceptional customer service. As a Delivery Driver, you will be delivering a large array of building materials in and around Simcoe Muskoka and the GTA. This position requires both physical labour and the ability to work long hours. This individual must be able to lift at least 60 lbs. We operate Monday to Saturday during our winter season and Monday to Sunday during our summer season. This position is Monday to Friday with the voluntary Saturday as an option. Along with the hourly rate, Simcoe Building Centre also offers drywall carrying bonus for our driver and driver helpers. For every hour that an employee is carrying drywall, there is a 2 dollar bonus per hour. Further information can be discussed during the interview process. We are looking for an energetic, loyal, and dedicated employee who is committed and enjoys the physical aspects of work. Our start times range from 4:30 am to 6 am daily. This position requires that the individual be available for all ranging start times. Job Duties: - Deliver products to customers both locally and not. - Work with a crew of 1 up to 4 driver helpers to ensure that product is delivered on time and not damaged. - Supervise the overall delivery and ensuring that everyone is working in a safe manner. - Answer any customer inquires. - Maintain constant communication with dispatch in regards to delivery times, addresses, issues regarding products etc. - Early start times. These times can vary. - Maintain a clean truck and working environment. Qualifications: - DZ drivers license - Must be able to drive commercial manual transmission trucks - Heavy lifting, must be able to at least lift up to 50lbs. - Reliable - Boom experience is an asset, if no experience we will train. - Leadership skills. - Clean driving abstract. - Hitchhiker experience is an asset, if no experience we will train. - Must be able to work long hours. - Daily travel to Toronto.
