General Accountant Confidential Manufacturing and Services Company Full Time, Permanent We are a fast-paced and expanding manufacturing and services business serving a dynamic customer base. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented accountant to support all day-to-day accounting functions including bookkeeping, financial reporting and payroll. We are seeking a team player with strong technical accounting knowledge and business acumen capable of preparing all accounting records, financial statements and internal controls. We are looking for a team player with demonstrated leadership and people development experience who is innovative and motivated by success. Core Responsibilities - Execute the full-cycle accounting process using SAGE-50 - Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements - Manage accruals and journal entries with a focus on meeting tight corporate deadlines - Work closely with the production team to investigate discrepancies in standard vs. actual costs - Preform month-end inventory reconciliations - Reconcile accounts across multiple entities ensuring proper adherence to transfer pricing - Assist with the preparation of year-end audit files ensuring compliance with internal controls - Process Payroll - Drive continuous improvement initiatives including the creation of standard operating process to enhance and professionalize the business - Support day-to-day operations with any additional support, as needed Skills and Qualifications - 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally with general ledger responsibilities and a solid understanding of general accounting principals - Proficient user of finance software including at least one year of recent experience with SAGE-50 - Proven capabilities with Microsoft Office - Robust organizational skills with excellent attention to detail, time management and the ability to meet deadlines - Cross-functional team player with strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $49,806.00-$90,000.00 per year Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2p676i
