About Us Meta Steel Buildings Inc. is a growing construction company specializing in pre-engineered steel buildings across Canada. We supply buildings, manage permits, and oversee construction projects from start to finish. Position Overview We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Financial Controller to manage bookkeeping, payroll, reconciliations, and financial tracking across multiple construction projects. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online Process employee and subcontractor payroll Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Track accounts payable and accounts receivable Follow up on outstanding invoices and payments Verify vendor invoices, receipts, and expenses Monitor company cash flow and report discrepancies Track construction crew hours and project-related costs Organize and maintain financial records and supporting documentation Work with operations team to ensure project financial accuracy Assist external accountants with reconciliations and reporting Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems Improve and maintain financial processes and controls Requirements Experience with QuickBooks Online Experience processing payroll Solid attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and take ownership Construction accounting experience is an asset Experience with Contractor Foreman is an asset Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Pay: $25.00 per hour Advantages Casual dress Dental care In office parking Experience: financial controller: 3 years (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2p9ekx
