Position Registered Nurse – Surgical Services (Operating Room/ Day Surgery/ Post-Anesthetic Care/ Endoscopy) About the Organization West Parry Sound Health Centre (WPSHC) is a modern healthcare facility in Georgian Bay, providing integrated services including a 90‑bed acute care hospital. About the Chance We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our interdisciplinary team. Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will provide excellent quality patient care and leadership within the nursing units of the Health Centre. Work hours include all shifts and weekends, with on‑call duties as required. Responsibilities - Provide excellent quality patient care and leadership to members of the health care team within the nursing units of the Health Centre. Qualifications - Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario. - Successful completion of a post‑graduate peri‑operating nursing course and/or equivalent experience. - Certification with the Canadian Nurses Association in peri‑operative nursing, or prepared to complete. - Recent and relevant Operating Room and Post Anesthetic Care experience with demonstrated competency in all advanced nursing practices relevant to Operating Room nursing. - Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software related to healthcare programs. - Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references. - Bachelor of Science in Nursing is an asset. - A.C.L.S. Certification is an asset. - Experience in all areas of surgical services and ability to practice in all areas of surgical services is an asset.
