Plumbing Apprentice- 1st or 2nd Term (Simcoe)

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Plumbing Apprentice in their 1st or 2nd term to join our small family owned company. Our company is still young but is growing fast and we are excited to have a motivated individual join us. This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in plumbing systems, construction, and maintenance/service, providing a solid foundation for a future career in the trades. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and an interest in developing technical skills within the plumbing industry. This role involves installation, current construction, repair, maintenance tasks and drain cleans while gaining valuable industry knowledge. Responsibilities - Assist with the installation and repair of plumbing systems according to blueprints - Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively - Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements - Support with carpentry, and general construction tasks as needed - Perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations - Aid in assembly of plumbing components and fixtures - Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency - Participate in ongoing training to develop skills in blueprint reading and system troubleshooting - Support routine maintenance tasks on plumbing systems and related equipment Qualifications - Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in plumbing or construction trades - Experience or familiarity with carpentry, or welding is a plus but not required - Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and schematics reading preferred - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately - Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations - Ability to work safely around construction sites and adhere to safety protocols - Willingness to learn new skills through hands-on training and mentorship - Prior experience in assembly or maintenance roles is advantageous but not mandatory - Valid Drivers License - At least one term of apprenticeship completed This apprenticeship position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in the trades with comprehensive training and practical experience.
