THE ROLE As a Department Supervisor, you provide retail services to members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). You plan the department layout, shelf arrangement, signs and displays, order merchandise to keep shelves well stocked, verify inventory, prepare purchase orders and liaise with suppliers and vendors. You supervise employees, handle customer concerns and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction. Additional duties include retail services such as dry‑cleaning, lottery, self‑serve gas and postal services. You operate point‑of‑sale systems, debit/credit machines, maintain a float and may take and prepare food and beverage orders while ensuring cleanliness of food service areas. QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED An acceptable combination of education, training and experience. Food Handling Certification (required). Experience in visual merchandising. Experience in cash handling. Experience in personnel administration. Experience in food and beverage preparation (required). Experience in food and beverage service (required).
