Guidewire Developer (Courtice)

Description One of our largest insurance clients is seeking a Guidewire developer to be a part of million dollar, multi-year policy, claim, and billing system upgrade and integration project. The person will be working as a developer in an Enterprise project using Guidewire. The qualified candidate will be using Guidewire studio to write code in GOSU / Java for configuration work and/or integration development. He/she will be working in a team of 15-20 people using a SCRUM methodology to deliver software. As a part of software development, he/she will be writing code to develop functionality working with Business Analysts to understanding requirement, QA's to test the software and finally set it into production. Key Responsibilities Design and build end-to-end integrations in Guidewire PolicyCenter Develop solutions using REST / Edge APIs and Guidewire integration frameworks Collaborate with BA, QA, and development teams in an Agile environment Troubleshoot complex issues across integrations, plugins, and systems Contribute to solution design, code reviews, and mentorship Must-Have Experience Strong Guidewire PolicyCenter experience Proven integration development expertise (not just configuration) Experience building large-scale integrations end-to-end Hands-on with REST APIs / Edge APIs Solid understanding of messaging, plugins, and data mapping Technical Skills Gosu / Java Oracle SQL UNIX, Tomcat Guidewire Studio, Eclipse Jenkins, Ant, JIRA Nice-to-Have Skills ClaimCenter or BillingCenter experience Insurance domain Informatica / ETL experience GScript (Gosu) business rules What Makes You Strong Ability to design and troubleshoot complex integrations independently Robust debugging skills across Guidewire, middleware, and external systems Contributes to architecture and mentors junior developers Environment Agile team (15–20 members) Remote or Hybrid: 2 days onsite work week Impact Drives faster policy processing, improved automation, and enhanced digital experiences through modernized integrations and workflow.
