Data Engineering & Analytics Specialist (Azure) (Courtice)

Please Note: This role is focused on Azure Data Engineering, Data Architecture, and Advanced Analytics. Candidates must have hands‐on experience with Azure Data Factory/Data Lake, Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, and Power BI. Experience in Data Governance/MDM and AI‐driven analytics (GenAI) is required.Role SummaryThis role is primarily responsible for developing the Client's information management foundation to implement the Enterprise Data and Analytics program, operationalizing analytics, and delivering data‐as‐a‐service following industry standard practices and tools including AI.DutiesWork closely with clients and other resources to effectively communicate, plan, design, and implement solutions for delivering real‐time and AI‐driven insightsDesign and build data warehouses and analytics warehouses, for structured and unstructured dataDesign and build data architectures to leverage data as an organizational assetDesign comprehensive data solutions that enable clients to appropriately capture, make sense of and action dataEnsure delivered solutions fit within overall project plan and scheduleProvide feedback to departments and create structured documentation, including specifications and weekly status reportsAdvise departments on configuration and implementation options based on best practicesParticipate in the business requirements gathering process for customizationsLead/support Process Automation initiatives, for interfacing data structures and for connecting applicationsAct as a subject matter expert in data management technologiesEnsure that all implementation methodology deliverables are complete and on timePerform other tasks related to Data Governance, Master Data Management, Open Data and Database Administration, as requiredTroubleshoot reporting, analytics and BI tools, systems and software and performance tune these applications, as necessaryAct as project manager for data/analytics projects including generating project status, time, and expense reports as requested by the managementOther relevant duties as requiredQualificationsExperience related to the duties listed above normally acquired through post‐secondary education in computer science, computer programming or closely related field, and considerable experience in the design and construction of Data Integration Architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, preferably with Informatica and Azure Data Technologies.
