Location: Toronto, ON (100% On-site) Language: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required Duration: 17-Month Contract Background Check Requirement: Must be eligible to complete applicable background and security clearances About the Opportunity An established and highly regulated organization in the energy and utilities sector is seeking a Senior Financial Processing Analyst to support critical financial systems, operational processes, and enterprise-wide reporting initiatives. This role is ideal for a team-oriented finance professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges while contributing to large-scale operational efficiency and system enhancements. Working closely with finance, supply chain, operational teams, and technical stakeholders, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving financial processing systems that support day-to-day business activities. What’s In It for You Opportunity to work on large-scale financial systems and process improvement initiatives Exposure to cross-functional teams within a complex corporate environment A collaborative workplace that values continuous improvement and operational excellence The chance to contribute to impactful projects while building leadership and mentoring experience A fast-paced environment where analytical thinking and innovation are encouraged Your Responsibilities You’ll support the enhancement, maintenance, and optimization of financial processing systems and related business applications In this role, you’ll coordinate testing activities, develop test scripts, and support implementation activities for system enhancements You’ll provide financial and transactional analysis, reporting support, and operational process monitoring You’ll collaborate with business process owners and technical teams to ensure applications are maintained effectively and efficiently You’ll contribute to process improvement initiatives and participate in projects focused on operational optimization and business transformation You’ll prepare recommendations, analysis, and presentations for management and key stakeholders You’ll mentor junior team members and provide coordination support on assigned projects and deliverables Skills and Qualifications 6–8 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, financial systems support, or financial operations within a large corporate environment University degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience supporting or enhancing financial processing systems such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Supply Chain, or reporting platforms Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, reporting processes, and business operations Experience working in project coordination or consultative environments supporting system improvements and operational initiatives Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business issues and provide practical recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams Why Partner with Altis If you’ve never worked with a staffing agency before, we make it easy.
