Marketing Coordinator — Part-Time (Oshawa)

About us Hi — I am Gizem, founder of Deal Business Design & Marketing, a boutique marketing agency based in Whitby, Ontario. I started this business because I believe businesses deserve real marketing strategy, not cookie-cutter content. We currently serve many clients across Durham Region, event venues, architecture firms, fitness studios, realtors, and local businesses. We handle their full marketing: social media, Google Ads, email campaigns, website management, and content creation. We are a small, close-knit team and every person on it makes a real difference. The role This is a hybrid part-time contract role, 2-3 days per week, with at least 1 day in person in Oshawa. You will work directly with me and our content designer to manage marketing across multiple client accounts. Some days you will be writing email campaigns. Other days you will be optimising a Google Ads account, editing a Canva or Capcut video, or updating a client website. You will not be bored, and you will never be doing the same thing twice. This role is for someone who is comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities at once, and communicating clearly without needing to be managed. I will give you context and direction , you bring the execution and the ideas. What you will own - Photography and videography — visiting client locations to take skilled photos and record short-form video content for social media - Video editing — editing Reels, Stories, and short-form videos using Canva, CapCut, or similar tools - Google Ads and Meta Ads — setup, monitoring, optimisation, and monthly reporting for multiple clients - Email marketing — writing, designing, and scheduling campaigns in Mailchimp or similar - Website management — updating content, blog posts, and pages on WordPress or Squarespace - Content creation — creating graphics, carousels, and animations using Canva - Analytics and reporting — pulling monthly performance data and summarising insights for clients - Content strategy — generating post ideas, campaign concepts, and creative directions across accounts What we are looking for - 2–3 years of real digital marketing experience must have - Hands-on Google Ads experience, you have actually managed campaigns, not just learned theory must have - Canva or Capcut— confident creating graphics, carousels, and video Reels must have - Email marketing — Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar platforms must have - Website management — comfortable making updates on WordPress or Squarespace must have - Strong writer — you can write a compelling caption, email subject line, or website paragraph quickly and naturally must have - Multi-client or agency experience — you know how to juggle more than one account without dropping anything nice to have - Meta Ads Manager experience beyond boosting posts nice to have - Basic video editing — CapCut, Canva video, or similar nice to have - Based in Durham Region — must be able to come in to Oshawa at least 1 day per week required What we offer Flexible part-time contract-expected to full time. 2 days/week to start, with room to grow Hybrid work 1 day in Oshawa, 1 day remote $20–$24/hour Based on experience Real work from day one Supportive small team Your ideas are heard and valued here Room to grow As the business grows, so does this role How to apply Send your resume and a short note, tell me about one campaign or project you managed and what result it delivered.
