Part-Time Cookie/Production Baker (Oshawa)

Part-time: Mondays + Tuesdays Approx. 14–16 hours/week $21–$22/hour Core Cravings Co. is hiring a part-time Production Baker to support our growing protein cookie production. We make soft, bakery-style cookies with 15–16g of protein per cookie. They are indulgent, nostalgic, and made for people who want a real cookie with a little more function. We are growing quickly through online orders, wholesale accounts, fitness events, run clubs, and local partnerships, and we are looking for someone reliable, organized, and confident in a fast-paced kitchen. Schedule Mondays and Tuesdays Preferred hours: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM Some flexibility available: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM Responsibilities This role will include - Preparing and baking large-volume batches of cookies - Scooping, shaping, baking, cooling, wrapping, and labelling cookies - Following recipes and production processes accurately - Managing baking timelines to ensure consistency and efficiency - Organizing orders for pickup, delivery, wholesale, and events - Tracking inventory and flagging low stock - Helping receive, organize, and rotate ingredients and packaging - Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen - Washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and following food safety standards - Supporting packaging and order prep as needed - Communicating clearly with the Core Cravings team about production needs, issues, or shortages Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: - Experienced in baking, pastry, or commercial kitchen production - Comfortable with repetitive, high-volume production work - Detail-oriented and able to follow recipes exactly - Organized, clean, and efficient - Able to work independently once trained - Comfortable being on their feet for most of the shift - Physically able to lift ingredients, trays, and supplies as needed - Reliable, punctual, and communicative - Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple tasks at once - Excited about helping grow a local food business Preferred Qualifications - Culinary school or baking/pastry program graduate preferred - Previous bakery, pastry, catering, or commercial kitchen experience strongly preferred - Food Handler Certification is an asset - Experience with inventory, order prep, or wholesale production is an asset About Core Cravings Co.
