Occupational Therapist (Oshawa)

Job Description Provide ministry-funded, community-based occupational therapy services in clients homes and/or through virtual care Conduct occupational therapy assessments using interviews, standardized tools, and informal assessment techniques, including: Home safety and home modifications Equipment prescription Fall prevention Mobility and physical functioning Cognition Stroke rehabilitation and chronic conditions Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans in collaboration with clients and caregivers Assign, supervise, and monitor occupational therapy assistants as appropriate Educate clients and caregivers and connect them with relevant community agencies and resources Complete funding applications when required Maintain accurate, timely, and skilled documentation, including: Assessment findings Care plans Progress and discharge summaries Reports aligned with referral source requirements and COTO standards Qualifications Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) Ability to work independently within a community-based model Strong communication, documentation, and clinical reasoning skills Experience in community practice is an asset, but new graduates are welcome Valid G or G2 drovers license with access to a reliable vehicle for community travel Proficiency with computer applications, including MS Office Suite and proprietary clinical software #car_1 Additional Information This position is a current vacancy Spectrum Health Care is thrilled to be named one of Canadas Best Managed Companies.
