Senior IT Analyst - ONTCS Implementation- REPOST (Courtice)

Location Guelph, ON, CA, N1G 2W1 Job Summary The Senior IT Analyst – ONTCS Implementation reports to the Manager, Business Processes and Systems and provides senior analytical and implementation leadership for the institution‑wide implementation and adoption of the Ontario Transfer Credit System (ONTCS) at the University of Guelph. This temporary full‑time position (04/06/2026 – 04/30/2027) is a grant‑funded role within the Registrarial Systems and Technology division. The analyst is the primary institutional lead for ONTCS, translating provincial requirements, institutional policies, and academic practices into sustainable system configurations, workflows, and documentation. Key Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end planning, execution, and stabilization of ONTCS within the university’s enterprise student information workplace. Ensure integration of ONTCS into admissions, transfer‑credit assessment, advising, and related registrarial processes. Define implementation approaches, identify risks and dependencies, and recommend solutions to complex system, integration, and process challenges. Work closely with senior staff across Admission Services, Registrarial Systems and Technology, Academic Advising, and Information Technology to align ONTCS with operational practices and institutional priorities. Lead business analysis and project‑management activities, develop the integrated solution with internal and external stakeholders, oversee testing and readiness efforts, and develop training and reference materials. Represent the university in cross‑institutional ONTCS working groups, contribute to shared implementation guidance, documentation, and sector‑wide best practices. Support other related systems, analysis, or improvement initiatives on a limited basis when project timelines or phases allow, as long as they align with registrarial systems and institutional priorities. Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 4‑5 years of related IT/project experience across the full IT spectrum, ORequivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated ability to provide innovative and creative solutions to complex information technology and business‑process challenges. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills. Experience with enterprise student information systems and policy translation is preferred. The role is established for the duration of the grant and is not intended as a continuing position. Secondments from partnering Ontario postsecondary institutions may be considered to support knowledge transfer and sector collaboration.
