Field Mechanic (Central Oshawa)

Ideally you are an automotive, heavy equipment, truck and coach, or power lift truck technician, or are enrolled in a motive power program. Estimate or quote repair costs. Place parts orders and complete necessary paperwork - Perform safety and operational tests - Perform pre-delivery inspections, lay down trucks, and install trucks as needed - Communicate customer satisfaction information and leads to the appropriate personnel - Complete all training as required - Perform other duties as assigned Physical Requirements - Able to safely operate lift trucks and vehicles/service vans - Able to sit, stand, walk, bend/stoop/twist, squat, reach below knee level, grip/grasp, work with arm outstretched, and work above chest level - Able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs. - Able to occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 100 lbs, reach above shoulder level, climb stairs, climb ladders, torque, use vibratory tools, and pinch grip Education and Qualifications - High school diploma - Valid driver’s license - Industry related training and/or one to two years of prior experience (preferred) - Able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics - Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder, and various types of testing equipment - Able to read and understand service manuals and microfiche, plan and follow-through - Good organizational, customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required At Crown Lift Trucks, we believe in fairness and transparency.
