Shipper and Receiver (Guelph) (Courtice)

Job Overview FULL‑TIME SHIPPING & RECEIVING POSITION – METRO TRUCK GROUP. The Metro Truck Group of companies is a full-service center for all heavy truck and trailer needs. We are looking for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our team in our newly expanded Guelph location. Responsibilities Prepare and process all outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Responsible for picking and assembling orders, preparing orders for shipment, and loading and unloading trucks Receive and inspect all incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage Sign for incoming shipments Inspect products and ensure proper and accurate paperwork is maintained Verify shipment contents against packing lists and purchase orders Receive, unload, sort orders and inter‑company transfers accurately and in a timely manner Marking incoming parts and stocking them in the stockroom Perform a daily update as needed, as well as an annual intake of inventory Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently Report any issues or discrepancies to the Parts Manager promptly Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers or vendors Supportively work alongside all department colleagues Accountable to maintain a safe, clean and efficient storage area Adhere to Metro Truck’s code of conduct and Health & Safety procedures Perform general housekeeping duties All other duties as assigned Qualifications Previous Shipping and Receiving / Warehouse experience preferred Exceptional attention to detail Strong organizational and time management skills Position requires standing, lifting, walking, bending, and occasional ladder use Ability to follow instructions, and work both independently and as a team Successful candidates will be big‑picture thinkers, honest and professional Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation Benefits Competitive wage based on skill/experience Fast‑paced and energetic work environment Clean, well‑maintained and modern facility Boot allowance Team‑oriented company culture Room for advancement Company‑provided benefits package Company‑provided Employee Assistance Program Company matching RRSP/DPSP Program Company events Dental care Disability insurance Extended health care Life insurance On‑site parking RRSP match Vision care Job Details Job Types: Permanent, Full‑time Pay: $22.00–$26.00 per hour Shift Hours: Mid shift hours required (exact schedule discussed in interview) Work Location: In‑person Languages: English (required) Equal Chance Employer The Metro Truck Group is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible workplace providing accommodation in accordance with all relevant legislation.
