Responsibilities: As a Sub-Contractor/Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for: - Timely and Accurate Deliveries: Picking up packages from designated locations and delivering them to various addresses within the Ottawa area, adhering to established timelines and routes. - Route Optimization: Planning and executing efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery targets. - Package Handling: Safely loading, unloading, and securing packages to prevent damage during transit. - Customer Service: Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers during deliveries. - Documentation: Accurately completing all necessary delivery documentation, including proof of delivery and any incident reports. - Vehicle Maintenance: Ensuring your own vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and in good working order for daily deliveries. - Compliance: Adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. - Communication: Maintaining open and clear communication with M.P. Group dispatch and management. Qualifications: - Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license with a clean driving record. - Clean Criminal background and driver abstract. (required before joining) - Ability to lift and carry packages of various weights and sizes. - Excellent time management and organizational skills. - Strong geographical knowledge of Ottawa and surrounding areas. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Prior delivery experience or at least 5 year driving experience is required . - Must be legally authorized to work as an independent contractor in Canada.
