Remote Senior Advisor Procurement Strategy (Ottawa)

Lead strategic procurement initiatives in a senior advisory role with our federal client in Ottawa. This mostly remote position focuses on governance and compliance within a regulated environment. The federal government organization is looking for a Senior Special Advisor to support transformation efforts. You will develop a 2–3 year procurement strategy, offer expert compliance advice, and design governance frameworks. Additionally, you’ll work on enhancing procurement efficiency and managing vendor strategies through effective oversight. Key Responsibilities: - Develop a long-term procurement strategy aligned with digital transformation - Provide expert advice on federal procurement vehicles and compliance - Design governance frameworks to link risk management - Create and standardize SOWs, RFP templates, and evaluation criteria - Conduct market analysis for effective vendor engagement strategies Requirements: - Valid Reliability-level clearance with the Government of Canada - One year of Director-level experience in the last five years - Experience managing procurement portfolios over $50M CAD - Five years overseeing IT or infrastructure contracts in regulated settings - Robust advisory skills to senior leadership Utilize your expertise in procurement strategy, compliance, and governance to drive impactful initiatives remotely.
