Appointment Setter — Outbound Calls & Lead Qualification Commence Fence | Ottawa, ON Pay: Starting at $20.00/hr Job Type: Full-Time — Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Location: In Person — Ottawa, ON Start Date: Immediate About the Role Commence Fence is a fast-growing fencing company built on speed, execution, and accountability. This role exists for one purpose: Call leads, qualify them, and book appointments for our sales team. We generate demand every day. Your job is to get those leads on the phone fast, confirm they're a real fit, and lock a consultation onto a sales rep's calendar. The more qualified appointments you book, the more jobs we win. This is an entry-level role. We're not looking for a fencing expert — we're looking for someone who picks up the phone without hesitating, stays organized, and gets people booked. Core Responsibilities - Make outbound calls to new and existing leads — quickly and consistently - Open the conversation with confidence and keep it moving - Ask structured questions to confirm basic project fit (location, scope, timeline, budget signal) - Book qualified consultations directly onto sales reps' calendars - Follow up relentlessly on leads who don't answer the first time - Maintain accurate, real-time CRM records (Zoho) - Hand off clean, complete lead info so reps walk into every consultation prepared Performance Expectations (KPIs) - High outbound call volume per shift - High contact rate on assigned leads - Strong lead-to-booked-consultation rate - Zero missed follow-ups - Clean, organized, up-to-date CRM Requirements - Comfortable making outbound calls all day - Strong communication and organizational skills - Ability to manage a list of leads without dropping anyone - Reliable, self-directed, and detail-oriented Assets (Not Required) - CRM experience (Zoho preferred) - Phone sales, telemarketing, or call-centre experience - Home services or construction industry exposure - Bilingual (English/French) Who This Role Is For - You pick up the phone and dial without overthinking it - You're comfortable hearing "no" and moving to the next call - You stay organized under pressure - You take ownership of results, not just activity Who This Role Is NOT For - You avoid phone-based work or freeze on cold calls - You need to be told what to do next - You lose track of who you've called and who needs a follow-up - You let leads go cold Compensation & Growth - Starting at $20.00/hr - Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM - Pay increases based on performance - Path to a sales seat for top performers Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $20.00 per hour Benefits - Casual dress - Versatile schedule - On-site parking Application question(s): - You're handed a list of fresh leads to call.
