Bar Manager (Ottawa)

Mati is seeking an experienced and passionate Bar Manager to lead our beverage program and bar team. This role is ideal for an experienced bartender with a background in fine dining or upscale hospitality, who thrives in a quick-paced, team-oriented environment and is ready to step into a leadership position. We are looking for someone who brings energy, organization, and a genuine love for hospitality to the floor every day. What You’ll Do - Lead and support the bar team during service - Oversee execution of our cocktail and wine program - Manage ordering, inventory, organization, and cost control - Maintain consistency in recipes, presentation, and quality standards - Train, coach, and develop bartenders and support staff - Monitor beverage sales trends and provide feedback on menu performance - Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations - Collaborate closely with ownership and FOH leadership to maintain seamless service flow What We’re Looking For - Experienced bartender with fine dining or upscale restaurant background - Previous bar management or senior/lead bartender experience preferred - Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, and wine - Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume, team-oriented environment - Confident leadership presence and strong communication skills - Highly organized and detail-oriented - Passion for hospitality and guest experience What We Offer - Competitive compensation (based on experience) - Opportunity to shape and grow a respected beverage program - Supportive leadership and a collaborative team environment - Growth opportunities within our hospitality group If you’re ready to lead a dynamic bar program and be part of a team that values excellence and energy, we’d love to hear from you.
