Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks to ensure smooth operations and high-quality meal preparation. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment while supporting the cooking staff in delivering exceptional food service. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste. Support cooks with food handling and meal preparation tasks as needed. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations to maintain a secure working setting. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager. Participate in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Skills Experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices and Food Safety Certification. Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced restaurant workplace. Solid communication skills and ability to work well within a team. Basic cooking skills or willingness to learn meal preparation techniques. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Flexibility to assist with various tasks as needed throughout the kitchen.
