Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) – Family Practice (1-Year Maternity Leave Coverage) We are seeking a compassionate and organized Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our busy family practice clinic on a 1‑year contract to cover a maternity leave. This position offers 40 hours per week. Our clinic provides comprehensive, patient‑centered care to individuals and families. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, cooperative, and committed to building strong patient relationships while supporting efficient clinic operations. Key Responsibilities - Welcome and prepare patients for physician visits in a professional and friendly manner - Perform clinical procedures, including: - Administering injections and immunizations - Measuring vital signs - Diabetic monitoring and education - Well‑baby visits and developmental checks - Wart treatments and ear syringing - Assisting with annual and preventive health exams - Support chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension) - Provide patient education and follow‑up care under physician direction - Communicate test results to patients as appropriate - Coordinate with public health when required - Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date electronic medical records (PS Suite EMR) - Manage patient communications (phone calls, emails, and faxes) efficiently - Prepare referrals, consultation letters, and complete required forms - Assist in maintaining smooth daily clinic workflow Requirements - Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) - Valid Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR Level C certification - Completion of an RPN medication administration course (or equivalent) - Robust communication and interpersonal skills in English (French or other languages are an asset) - Experience with PS Suite EMR is considered an asset - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment - Availability Monday to Friday, including one evening shift per week (no weekends) What We Offer - Supportive and cooperative team environment - Opportunity to build long‑term relationships with patients and families - Dental care - Extended health care - Vision care - Pay: $25.00–$31.00 per hour - Job Types: Full‑time, Permanent - Work Location: In‑person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pr5nz
