Opportunity In this role you will be responsible for overall financial management of projects throughout their lifecycle by ensuring proper set up, maintenance, invoicing, project closure and documentation in accordance with the contractual requirements, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and with BluMetric’s controls, policies and practices. Key Responsibilities - Accounting management of a portfolio of projects including: - Ensuring each project is set up in the accounting system (Deltek VantagePoint, and CRM) in accordance with the client contract and IFRS 15 requirements. - Updating project information for contract changes. - Conduct billing analysis to identify and correct errors and inconsistencies including but not limited to budget gaps, rates, and transactions adjustment. - Collaborating with Project Managers to accurately generate Customer invoices. - Ensuring timely project close out procedures. - Participate in month end and quarter end closing tasks including but not limited to revenue recognition journal entries, write offs and submitting revenue provisions for approval. - Monthly monitoring and communicating with Project Managers and Accounting team regarding work in progress, status of projects and overall budget. - Build solid relationships with, and serve as a trusted advisor to, our internal business partners including Project Managers and other project staff, as well as assist and collaborate with other Finance and Accounting team members. - Provide excellent customer service and a customer‑centric focus, while providing a quality of work that consistently meets or exceeds expectations. - Proactively look for innovative processes and project accounting improvements. - Respond to ad hoc project requests. Key Qualifications, Skills & Education - Post‑secondary degree in Accounting preferred and 4+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Proficiency in French is considered an asset. - Takes ownership of all tasks and works with autonomy. - Strong interpersonal, customer service, and relationship building skills are a key asset. - Strong communication skills, including an ability to communicate effectively at all levels, to articulate ideas, and to provide actionable recommendations. - Ability to work under tight deadlines with an ability to manage multiple competing priorities. - Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy. - Intermediate or advanced knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables and xlookups). - Adaptable to thrive in a fast‑paced highly transactional environment. - Experience with IFRS 15 and revenue recognition is considered an asset. - Experience with ERP software, in particular, Deltek VantagePoint and CRM is an asset.
