General Maintenance Worker -Unionized Position (Ottawa)

Designed for the independent traveler seeking balance, there's Sheraton, The World's Gathering Place. Sheraton Ottawa Hotel is currently seeking a part-time General Maintenance Worker. This position requires ability to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays (as per seniority) Responsibilities: - Respond to maintenance calls in a courteous, professional and timely manner, liaising with other operational departments as required. - Perform general maintenance and repairs including painting, dry walling, tiling, carpentry, caulking, and other general contractor duties. - Perform preventative maintenance assignments as required. - Maintaining accurate log and maintenance records and monitoring stock inventory. - Maintaining cleanliness of an integrity of mechanical areas, shop and tools. - Maintaining fire equipment and systems and handling specific fire alarm response duties. - Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring adherence to guidelines and legislation outlined in the occupational Health & Safety Act. - All other duties as assigned by Management.
