Position Summary: We are looking for an Account Manager - Personal Lines to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario! This Account Manager will be responsible for prospecting, soliciting, quoting, and procuring new business while servicing a book of business. Duties: - Provide total service to assigned clients on renewal and throughout the policy period; handle questions and general inquiries, recommend and provide increased limits or coverage. - Responsible for all changes and incoming inquiries regarding assigned clients. - Responsible for the quality and timeliness of all policy documentation processing; new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, etc. - Record and process various claims transactions. - Responsible for accounts receivable for assigned clients, adhering to corporate accounts receivable procedures. - Prospect, solicit and place coverage for clients new to McDougall Insurance Group, in order to meet New Business goals established on an annual basis. - Responsible for placing coverage with the appropriate market, completion of the documentation required, and arranging payment in alignment with corporate policy. - Gather and document relevant information to ensure client receives the appropriate coverage and service. - Keep abreast of markets, recent products, pricing, and opportunities. - Adhere to all system procedures and insurance company regulations. Qualifications: - Must have exceptional sales and customer service skills. - Must be sales oriented and have a very good knowledge of the risk and insurance products involved. - Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with clients in stressful and contentious situations (e.g. collections, coverage after an incident, etc.) - Acts in a professional manner at all times and maintain a position of trust and confidentiality. - Acts in an open, respectful, honest and helpful manner with all team members, clients and other staff - Must be willing and eligible to obtain a RIBO license We consider candidates with varying levels of experience.
