Description
As an experienced Senior Project Manager in the Civil&Infrastructure team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role at the heart of the Urban Earthworks business unit. Leading large-scale construction and infrastructure projects - which can exceed $200 million - you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engineers, contractors and customers to ensure flawless execution of all projects. You'll benefit from professional coaching and specialized services provided by our support departments, such as environment, quality and insurance, allowing you to focus on what's important: project management.
Responsibilities
Grow and maintain strong relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients to achieve the project goals and vision.
Support your project management teams to develop and drive the construction schedule ensuring that completion dates and milestones are met.
Apply your financial management experience to plan, manage and respect project budgets, costs and associated purchasing.
Share your knowledge and be a role model through mentorship opportunities with project team members.
Be an expert in risk management to ensure any associated project risk is minimized.
Take pride in compiling and completing companywide project reports.
Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environmental Protection on the project.
Qualifications
A minimum of 10+ years’ experience in Project Management in the construction industry.
University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
Master the French language at a professional level.
Exceptional leadership, organizational prowess, influential abilities, adept problem‑solving, ensuring project success amidst diverse challenges.
Strong knowledge of construction and project methodologies, financial management, as well as building codes and associated legislation.
Be a champion and role model for quality and all health and safety best practices.
Experienced working with scheduling software, knowledge and experience working with P6 considered a strong asset.
