Field Service Technician - Heavy Equipment (Paradise)

We are looking for heavy equipment technicians who take a skilled approach to equipment maintenance and repair. The successful candidate must be customer-focused with good communication and problem-solving skills, and above all, enthusiasm for a job well done. Compensation, Benefits & Training - Madsen offers a competitive compensation package $45-52/hr - Health & dental plan - Group RRSP retirement plan - Paid time off and flex days - Training The position is a field service role to provide highly responsive service to customers for equipment breakdowns and planned maintenance. Responsibilities for the role include: - Diagnosing mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic problems using computerized and other test equipment. - Completing a full range of service tasks – inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and overhauls, field service / breakdown repairs and a timely and economical manner. - Carrying out after hours and field work, in potentially inclement weather is a requirement of the job. Work may be physically demanding, requires high degree of mobility/dexterity. Qualifications & Skills will include: - Red Seal Certification for Heavy Equipment Technician. - Five years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician. Experience in an equipment dealership will be considered an asset. - Strong work ethic, commitment to efficient work practices – ability to work in a team and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. - Commitment to workplace health and safety. - Strong understanding of diagnostic process – logical approach to fault determination. - Ability to communicate repair options and provide recommendations to customers. - Good documentation skills – inspections, service reports. - Ability to interpret technical information and effectively apply it to practical problems.
