Overview PepsiCo Canada: Fall 2026 Research&Development Co-op
Co-op Work Term Duration: September to December 2026
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Job Location:
Peterborough, ON
Compensation: $25 to $37.50 per hour

As part of the Product Development team this role will support the development of new products for launch into the Canadian market place.
Responsibilities
Perform Bench Top and preparation and testing of new or existing products.
Assist in the development of new products for launch into the Canadian marketplace
Assist in the scale-up and start up new products /sizes on existing equipment
Development, routing and approval of specifications
Work with vendors, purchasing and headquarters to qualify new ingredients.
Participate in quality, product improvement and productivity initiatives
Manage analytical testing and data collection for ingredient and nutritional information
Qualifications
3rd or 4th year student from Diploma or Degree program in Food Science, Engineering or related discipline.
High standard of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent follow-up and organizational skills required. Attention to detail extremely important. Ability to work under deadlines and multi-task.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written
Ability to work cross functionally within PepsiCo and with external vendors
Ability to maintain confidentiality of projects, data and other matters relating to PepsiCo business
Good record keeping skills for ingredient and nutrition labelling.
Familiarity with regulatory affairs guidelines would be a definite asset (Food and Drugs Act, Guide to Food Labelling including mandatory nutrition labelling regulations)
