The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Assists in formulation of plan of care with RPN/Nursing Supervisor Observes and promptly reports changes in a resident's physical and emotional condition Maintains accurate documentation according to policy Reports all incidents promptly and accurately Assists in maintaining adequate nursing supplies Maintains work and storage areas in a clean, protected and sanitary manner; Performs resident care as documented in plan of care Performs other related duties as required. The ideal candidates will possess: Knowledge of the Resident Bill of Rights Post secondary education in related care fields [e.g. Personal Support Worker (PSW), Health Care Aide (HCA) Able to work all shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) Excellent communication skills Time management Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; Demonstrated empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors; Effective interpersonal relationship and conflict resolution skills; Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints; Additional Information: Shift premium for weekends $0.45 Shift premium for nights $0.50 Clothing allowance In lieu of advantages Supples Landing is an equal chance employer.
