Description
Human Resources Generalist Under the direction of the Area Director or Human Resources Manager, this role provides critical support to our local branch by ensuring smooth operations across a range of HR functions. Responsibilities Recruitment and selection of various employees. Participate in orientation session arrangements and delivery. Process Workers Compensation claims, including documentation, filing reports, and follow‑up activities related to modified work programs. Lead or participate in the local Health and Safety Program. Assist managers with progressive discipline and counseling of employees in accordance with company policies. Maintain current and past employee human resources files, ensuring all required documentation is present. Stay current on provincial legislation relating to Employment Standards, Human Rights, Workplace Health and Safety, and Labor laws. Participate in ongoing internal and external continuing education activities. Perform other HR related tasks or duties as requested by the manager or Business Lead. Assist with vaccination status verification for new hires as required by provincial regulations. Advantages Competitive compensation package. Qualifications Post‑secondary degree or diploma in human resources or industrial relations. Minimum 4 years of progressive human resources experience in a fast‑paced environment. CHRP/CHRL designation considered a robust asset. High degree of flexibility and ability to multitask with excellent attention to detail. Demonstrated leadership and collaboration experience. Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English. Experience with MS Office Suite and solid data‑management skills. Experience handling issues with sensitivity, confidentiality, and balance. Strong knowledge of human rights, employment equity, inclusivity, and accessibility, and the ability to effectively communicate these principles.
