The Sales Consultant & Lifestyle Programs Manager role at Chartwell Retirement Residence is an exceptional opportunity for an enterprising, self-directed Sales professional who brings demonstrated experience in sales, brings meaningful programs, and enjoys interacting with seniors. The Retirement Living Consultant and Lifestyle Programs Manager will be responsible for maximizing occupancy levels in the retirement residence by driving sales opportunities as well as implementing meaningful programs and services to meet the social, physical, intellectual, emotional, vocational, and spiritual needs of all residents. Adhere to an established sales process to meet or exceed sales targets. Leverage Chartwell’s consultative sales process to help seniors and adult children make informed decisions when choosing a retirement residence. Follow up on new leads in a timely manner whether from contact center inquiries or in-person inquiries or resident/business referrals and convert to personalized tours. Communicate effectively and interact in a courteous and skilled manner with residents, family members, visitors, and volunteers. Conduct tours, follow-up on all Prospects, and drive occupancy levels by closing sales through lease signings. Track sales activity in CRM database and analyze reports to identify sales trends specific to the local community and residence. Collaborate with the Marketing department to design events and develop promotion materials. Attend sales training as required. social, physical, intellectual, emotional, vocational and spiritual needs). Evaluate and enhance the resident experience with engaging and memorable programming. to internal and external customers. Develop local Business Development and Community Integration opportunities Create, retain, and grow a portfolio of strategic networking partnerships with the local healthcare community and within the community at large. Encourage external community groups to use the residence to showcase the residence. Establish and maintain relationships with community influencers to promote, drive, and encourage referral-based traffic. Partner with manager to develop strategies to increase interest in living at residence in the local community. Provide information to the public and local community organizations. Provide leadership direction and training of the sales process to the management/ leadership team. Provide support to other team members. Actively participate in the weekly management/leadership meeting to provide updates regarding sales trends, new prospects, marketing events, and other related information. Be on the rotation for the Manager on Duty program to work some weekends. Understand and follow all health and safety policies and procedures (including residence’s fire and safety programs). Work safely to reduce the risk of injury to self, staff, and residents; Post secondary education or equivalent required. First Aid Certificate (training will be provided). Proven experience in a consultative sales role and relationship building. Experience working with seniors is an asset. Knowledge of the surrounding area and community an asset. Discipline – The ability to successfully adhere to an established sales process, including prospecting and closing sales transactions. Communication – ability to interact and communicate with Prospects, community leaders, fellow staff members and residents/guests with empathy and understanding, verbal and written. Customer service oriented – enjoy working with a goal towards achieving customer satisfaction. Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Work involves moderate walking and standing during tours or meeting community partners and for monitoring residence activities. Some work is also performed in an office environment. Flexible hours (evenings, weekends) may sometimes be required to meet with Prospects. Work requires flexible mental effort associated with optimal periods of sales traffic, organizing information, and interaction with staff and the public.
