Temporary General Assemblers and Sewing Machine Operators Currently, our Operations Team is seeking Temporary Mechanical Assemblers and Sewing Machine Operators at our Pembroke, Ontario office. Summary: The successful candidates will prepare and assemble/and or sew quality personal protective products. Duties & Responsibilities: - Operates production line equipment of a level of complexity requiring the specified training or assembling products, units, machines, equipment, and/or subassemblies that are larger, heavier, and/or more complex; - May cut materials; - Drills, taps, or reams holes, using drill press or portable drill. - Aligns components, and bolts, screws, or rivets them together, using hand tools or portable powered tools; - Tests or assist in testing operation of completed product; - Assists more junior operators in performance of skilled function; - May repair units that fail to meet specifications; - Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel; - Perform inspection to ensure maintenance of quality standards; - May perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device; - Other duties as required Qualifications: - Understand safety features and secure operation methods for all machines; - At least two (2) years of production/manufacturing experience; - Ability to communicate and read in English; - Ability to work overtime when required; - At least two (2) years of mechanical assembly/and or sewing experience.
