Job Description We are currently seeking a Financial Advisor to join our team in Princeton. This is a full‑time permanent position supporting branch operations Monday through Friday.

The Financial Advisor provides exceptional customer service to current and potential members by offering a full range of deposit/investment and complex lending services. The role identifies the member’s life‑stage cycle and provides solutions to financial needs or refers members to an appropriate advisor. The Financial Advisor manages a portfolio of members.

Typical day

Member Service: Build strong relationships with current and potential members; identify life‑stage cycle and provide financial advice or refer to an advisor.

Member Transactions: Process a full range of complex member transactions including personal loans, retail mortgages, RRSP loans, investment products (typically under $100K in investable assets), opening personal or business accounts, debit/credit cards, LOC/overdraft protection, and related insurance products.

Branch Goals: Support achievement of annual branch goals and objectives through proactive promotion of Tru Cooperative Bank products, participation in branch campaigns, and actively seek cross‑sell and/or referral opportunities. Achieve established annual sales and referral targets.

Branch Support: Perform a variety of administrative duties, such as administration of estates, completion of loan applications, conducting credit investigations, and follow‑up phone calls to members as required.

Other duties as required by branch leadership; utilize the day‑in‑the‑life guideline to prioritize and manage schedules while maintaining a remarkable, consistent member experience.

Branch Differentiation

Lending limits will be assigned in consultation with credit services, based on experience and competency.

In pilot locations, a key accountability is to build/maintain a strong presence and relationship in the community.

Required Skills, Experience&Qualifications

College or Tech School Diploma (2 years) in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mutual Funds License required; PFP is an asset.

Must complete the internal Tru Cooperative certification program specific to this role within the required timeframe.

2 years in a Member Advisor role, or equivalent.

Demonstrated ability to identify needs and recommend products and services to members.

Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and solve problems using common sense and sound judgment.

Proven ability to plan, organize and prioritize workload.

Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Office and banking software programs.

Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by demonstrating adherence to policies and procedures.
