About The Job In accordance with the organization’s vision, values and standards of professional practice, the Medical Laboratory Technologist performs a variety of routine and complex tests using manual procedures and automated instruments. Duties include greeting patients, collecting and receiving specimens, entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and related computer systems, validating and reporting test results, maintaining instruments, and preparing solutions and control agents in accordance with established procedures and safety standards. The technologist participates in departmental training programs across laboratory sections such as microbiology, histology, cytology, and other relevant disciplines to learn new or existing tests and procedures.

Field of practice for this position: Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine (Science).

Job Details This is a Casual opportunity. Hours are not guaranteed and may vary, with shifts scheduled on a rotating basis across days, evenings, and nights. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent and temporary positions.
