Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and motivated Lead Landscaper to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident leading a crew, operating equipment, and managing landscape construction projects from start to finish. The right candidate will have hands-on experience with excavators, retaining wall construction, grading, and general landscape installation. You should be comfortable taking initiative on job sites, communicating with crew members and clients, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Duties Lead and supervise a landscape construction crew on various residential and commercial projects Operate excavators and other landscape equipment safely and confidently Build retaining walls, patios, irrigation systems, and other hardscape features Coordinate daily tasks and keep projects moving efficiently and on schedule Read and execute landscape plans and layouts Ensure quality control and attention to detail on all installations Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members in office Maintain a safe and organized work environment Assist with material planning, site preparation, and equipment setup Mentor and support team members to help develop skills and productivity Requirements Proven experience in landscape construction and crew leadership Experience operating excavators and other landscape equipment Strong understanding of retaining wall construction, grading, and hardscape installation Ability to lead a team and complete projects with minimal supervision Robust problem-solving skills and ability to adapt on-site Good communication and organizational skills Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labour Valid driver’s license required Experience with irrigation systems is considered an asset What We’re Looking For Someone who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and wants to be part of building quality outdoor spaces.
