Process Control Specialist Role in Pulp Industry (Castlegar)

In this role, you will support both Operations and Maintenance departments by providing engineering expertise to meet safety, quality, and reliability objectives. Youll plan and execute automation strategies, manage technology lifecycles, and participate in risk assessments such as HAZOP and LOPA. Collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams is key to achieving success in this position.

Key Responsibilities: • Evaluate and report on process control strategies • Solve automation hardware and software issues • Implement recent automation approaches • Manage the lifecycle of operational technology software • Support risk assessments including PHA and LOPA

Requirements: • Degree in Engineering or relevant diploma • At least 5 years of Process Control experience • Strong skills in electrical and instrumentation documentation • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards • Knowledge of PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems
